ABOUT MATT HANLEY

​I fell in love with the legal profession and the Central Coast in 2009 when I first came to San Luis Obispo to work with my uncle, Ilan Funke-Bilu. After earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, I attended law school with the goal to become a criminal defense attorney. After being admitted to the State Bar of California in 2015, I moved to San Luis Obispo County to practice criminal defense alongside my uncle, a pillar of the legal community for over 40 years. 

 

I am proud to serve the members of this community and call the Central Coast home. ​​My passion for criminal defense is fueled by my belief in our fundamental rights as citizens and the legal protections we are afforded by the Constitution. I take pride in aggressively fighting for my client's rights, and I will fight for yours.
